ncameron: Would you complain if they overbilled you when you purchase a game? I'd assume the answer would be 'yes' - very few people would let that slide. If so, then you do have the time and inclination to complain when something isn't to your liking about a service you use.

GOG certainly aren't going to change if we don't tell them about issues we have with their service. How else do companies figure out what their customers want or don't want? Do you expect them to just wait and watch the customer numbers, to see when they go up or down? Any company worth its salt sees customer feedback - any customer feedback - as solid gold.
Okay perhaps I need to be more clear here, complaining to get your views known is fine... constant complaining for months (and it's generally the same people doing so usually) when you know GOG isn't going to change it's stance is what I am referring too. And some point you kind of have to realize that and move on.

Constrictive feedback is healthy and good (like what happen with the Galaxy installer issue, something both camps agreed on by the way), but what we have been privy to here for while now is wild accusations and border line conspiracy theories which isn't constructive at all. What we have been privy to on both sides is "I only care about me, screw what you want" (and yes I'm guilty of it too) and my personal favorite "Fuck Galaxy users" because somehow we are the cause for all of this mess.

This isn't good for this community or for GOG in general at all... at some point you have to realize what GOG was is now gone or what you wanted GOG to be isn't ever going to happen.

Just my 2 cents, but I'm kind of burnt out on this discussion now.

GR00T: Then why not communicate that to your customers? You know, instead of letting them sit wondering why their off-line game installer isn't being patched.
That would be the human part of the issue.

I'm already loathing quickly enough without it, thanks. =)

Thiev: Expeditions: Viking received both updated setup and a patch at this very moment.

Other discussion in this topic aside, such delay is not a normal thing and was caused by several issues, both human and technical in nature.
Thanks, downloading it right now.
