As the thread says here

Arcen Games is not performing well and is facing insolvency and is close to closing its door. A shame really because they had made really good games and are pro gamers.

Matruchus is rallying to spread awareness about their new game, Starward Rogue which has stellar reviews. However, I don't want to buy games on steam if I can help it, and I already own all Arcen Games on GoG.

So aside from tipping Arcen, I bought 3 copies of Arcen Crown Jewel "AI War Collection" for this giveway to further spread awareness.

I would appreciate it if people who enter this giveway would spread a little awareness regarding Arcen.
I hadn't seen the mentioned thread. I was saddened to read this. Cheers for your support and running this giveaway. I won't be in as I own their GOG catalog, but have a plus one from me instead :D
A shame about the news, but a very nice way to get the word out about a great game! I already own it on Gog, but thanks, Gnostic!
Not in. I already have it on Humble.

I emailed Arcen, apparently Starward Rogue is going to be DRM free on Humble too. I gambled and bought it there today. It will be interesting to see if I get the DRM free version once it's available. If not, I'll probably ask for a refund, and re-buy the DRM free version.

I also bought Lost Technologies, which was the only other Arcen game I didn't have.

I guess Gnostic missed my posts about drm-free versions of Starward Rogue. Chris Park confirmed in Arcen forums that the game will be sold drm-free on the Humblestore and in their store. For that reason my giveaway for Starward Rogue is for a humblestore activation page.

Eitherway kudos for the giveaway and +1

Bump!
Small bump
Not in, but +1 for the giveaway and the idea behind!
I am in. It is a pity their latest game does not appear to be selling well, as the reviews for it seem to be very positive. I hope they manage to pull through.
Not in, but good giveaway.

I wonder if shutting down for a while wouldn't be best in the short term for them. It must cost a fair bit to keep a studio open all the time, and they do hold licenses and IP for some pretty good games. I imagine they'll get some income for these.

The only thing is that reestablishing a studio would probably involve not insignificant work and expense... Whatever happens, I hope the best for them.
That really would be a shame. I loved how Chris came in to talk about the dlc for TLF. It convinced me to buy it. I'd like to buy his new game, but here not on Steam or humble. In the meantime, I think I'll buy some codes to gift.
I'm in. Just started to addicted to Bionic Dues. The news of Arcen Games's staff layouts are an eye opener for me for bad steam curation of indie game markets.

Ok check your chat
I'm in, if I may. Thanks for raising awareness, I didn't know they are in financial trouble! The only Arcen game I played so far was The Last Federation (also available here on GOG), which I really liked. It would be a real pity, if they shut down :(
Yeah, I heard the news.
I think steam refund policy had some adverse effect on small indie devs.
On other day I was reading a blog post of Puppy Games and they had explained it how their sale went down with introduction of steam refund.
Regarding Arcen Games, I really liked Bionic Dues.
It's tiny. It's simple yet complex at same time. It's addictive.
However I never got chance to play any other games by them.

If AI War Collection is DRM-FREE then I am in.
