JudasIscariot: Neither of those issues were intended and no, we are not trying to force anyone to use Galaxy. If you choose to not use Galaxy and the game acts like it requires Galaxy , then please let us know.

Also, I believe Rebel Galaxy has been fixed so it should play nicely without Galaxy. I know because I ran it under Wine where I have no traces of Galaxy since it's not out for Linux yet.
Thank you for the answer. I made the thread because of the impression the focus is tending to galaxy. Yes, Rebel Galaxy was fixed (after I installed), the Dungeons 2 DLC is in progess (although I wonder - it's been some time).

@all
Thanks, and yay, I made a thread where I'm not being flamed ;).

I read the instructions to 'fix it with galaxy' in the forum several times, but only remember users hinting at this.

Cheers!

mrkgnao: To be exact, according to this, you don't have to use galaxy, just install it.

I wonder how difficult it is for GOG to set aside one PC per OS that never had galaxy installed on it, just for pre-relase testing purposes.
Sorry, that's what I meant.
On second thought, if I have to go into its settings to opt out of it running at start up, then keep it updated for any future game or its DLC not playing nice without Galaxy's presence, then I'm not sure it's actually "just install it".
Just wanted to point out that Dungeons 2 non galaxy version dlc issue has been fixed today with the new patch.

New maps are to be found under singleplayer>skirmish after patch application.
