This looks promising. Everything looks great except Tatooine.

Not sure why they decided to do a remake so many years later. If Star Wars Battlefront was any hint of fan expectations, Apeiron needs to fix any game issues before releasing.

ANy studio would have done the same thing. Lucas, when he was in charge, was pretty protective of his IP rights. He tolerated fan stuff if it did not directly compete with his products, but if it did he would take legal action.
Problem is the studio probably thinks it would be easy to remove the "you must own the original" feature, and I suspect they are right.
BTW, Lucas was not exactly hesistant to bring a lawsuit if he felt his IP was being endangered.

They would of done better making it loosely but obviously related while changing all the IP language

I get really annoyed by people who jump into a conversation without bothering to read what has gone before. I understand why people might do that in really long, multi page threads but with a one page thread....and just reading the first post would have told anybody this was NOT an official remake.

Disney can't handle video games, ever since EA acquires the exclusive Star Wars license we had only two mediocre video games, awkward.

I think Disney overeacted, and I dislike EA as much as anybody, but Disney owns the IP and not much you can do about that.
And, to be honest, LUcasarts was pretty much dead for the last few years of when Lucas owned the company.
Quality of the games post 2007 was pretty low at Lucasarts.

Fans have the delusion they somehow "Own" the product they are fans of. In most cases, they don;t.
