There is no good look for them. Either they lied because the truth would make them look worse than a blatant lie. Or they are telling the truth in which case, some "gamers" voices are clearly more important than others. Even if they did it because of some other conspiracy theory, like banks. They still lied and blamed it on their customers.

Well one Blue promised to look at and answer our concerns in the Epic Games thread... then subsequently disappeared. That's as "good" as it's ever gotten in my experience.

Don't forget contests they hosted but then never ever awarded anyone the promised prizes for, like the Sunless Skies story contest (unless one day they secretly awarded a winner long after everyone forgot about that scandal, which I doubt they did).

Or similarly, the rigged contest for the Cyberpunk catchphrase, in which they never even read all the entries, and the one they awarded as the winner was a really crappy line.

They definitely never responded to any of the questions/feedback/criticism about those things.

I do think it reached a level where they react. But considering that someone up there has extremely serious ego issues I doubt it will be much more than an insulting J Allen Brack type of nonpology.

So did this happen more than once? I'm so mad at them about the Horizons Zero giveaway. They made 0 info about it, no winners list nothing, clearly just a scam. I bet their PR team is garbage, they use twitter in write only mode..

If they come out with a brutally honest response of "we got flooded with threats by CCP shills that made it clear that we won't be able to do business in the PRC if we release this game, and that's too big of a market for us to be locked out of"... well, it won't really change anything in practice, but at least they'll no longer be insulting our intelligence by blaming it on "gamers".

(seriously, they claim to be way behind in support tickets, and then waste time closing/removing threads/posts & modding users....what sense does that make?)

From what i've seen, several "big" YT channels covered it already, and their viewers are likely already spreading the latest GOG news across the main sites and others.

I really doubt they will respond in any way. The only way I can think of they would respond is if they got hit financially. Just like with the shitfest called Cyberpunk 2077.
