micktiegs_8: Sitting, watching my friend try and set his up, let alone play it on a system that chugged at a snails pace under the resolution. Not to mention the money he paid for said system. Witnessing and dodging the bullet is enough.
So the answer is no.
micktiegs_8: Did I also not say that 'dedicated space is not an option' for me?
Where there's will, there's a way. You may end up with a weird desktop resolution of 2160x1920, but you can do it.
And when you manage to, do try a multi-monitor setup. It is worth it, and it is an excellent way to do whatever it is you do, even though a few games do have issues with multi-monitor setups.
Klumpen0815: I could understand a higher res and the ability to be able use the big screen better in daylight, but I never really got the multiple screen setup, not even for work since every common OS features multiple virtual desktops by now afaik.
As already mentioned, the ability to have one program open on one monitor, and another open in a second, and be able to monitor them both is much better than having to switch desktops. Especially if you don't need to interact with one of the programs, but only glance at it and be able to read what is said there. Win+<- or Win+-> does help quite a bit with that on Win7 onward, but you are using half the space you could be using.
