Although I think some subsequent games in the series have surpassed in terms of pure gameplay, nothing has ever had as much of an impact on me as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and as such it'll always hold that special place in my heart container.

If anyone cares, here's my favourites-of-all-time list as it currently stands:

Avalon on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum
I hate picking single favorites!

Silent Hill 2
Hotline Miami
Portal
C'mon man! That's like asking which one is my favorite kid! :P
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
my favorite game is the game that people like to play: this game is Super Troll Islands.
Darksiders 5
Mafia
I'm not really into using grandiose titles or alpha numeric characters to declare a games value, so my favorite might change depending on my mood.
A handful that are in the running at any given time include Final Fantasy VI, Metal Gear Solid 3, River City Ransom, Tales of Eternia (Tales of Destiny II in the U.S.), and Fallout 3.

Final Fantasy VI would be the one I most often go to as my favorite.
Morrowind, loaded with mods :)
The rest of my beloved games are all a close 2nd. I really hate picking favourites among them :3

I think this is a little insane because that game is so hard. :P Great game but unforgiving at times.

I mean that as a compliment. If that is your favorite then you should be a professional. I'm not joking, and those guys make a lot of money.

nightcraw1er.488: That's really impossible to say. At every stage of life new things appear which are influential, there was a dungoen crawler on the acorn at school, and granny's garden on the nimbus.
Baldurs Gate 1/2 I have played many times over the years. GTA 1-Vice City were classic. As well, it depends on genre, I agree with several of the posts above, Thief, Morrowind, Warcraft 2 was pretty good. No-one mentioned Doom yet?
Ultima 7 was a game I spent weeks on, still have the paper with each town mapped out.
The list is endless.
Can you post a pic of the paper with town maps? I would love that.
Fallout 2 for the computer

Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxter/Sly Cooper 2 for the ps2 (can't decide!)
