Welcome back to Bright Falls.

After a prolonged leave of absence in order to pursue his music rights, spooked book writer Alan Wake is now back on sale in all his original glory!

To celebrate, turn your flashlights skywards and then grab Alan Wake 80% off until November 1st, 4pm UTC.

Additionally, American Nightmare, the game's acclaimed spinoff, just got a permanent price drop and is also 80% off on top of that, so the time to complete the series is now.

I think it's Wiseguy where half a season is missing on the DVDs because he went undercover in a record studio...

Sarang: Then I apologize as I figured Dweezil Zappa was the one being the jerk.
No need. Just throwing out what little I know/think about the situation. It became a huge mess. It became harder to find his music. It even dwindled away from Amazon and could only be found on their site with an outrageous (in my opinion) price.

Again about the Alan Wake bonuses, I try to take screenshots of game pages as they are released. Here's the page from May 10, 2012.

MarkoH01: Unfortunately AW2 has been cancelled for good. :(
Every time it's brought up as a reminder still hurts just as much as the first time getting the news.
Good news! I've picked up the game again some weeks ago and I think it's a great game.

TheyLive1984: Alaaaaaan I've missed you, man.... XIII and NOLF will also join us?
Probably no NOLF because of licensing hell - but I am still sad I missed XIII when it was still available here.
Nice, nice, nice to have it back in the store. A good day for everybody who missed picking it up the last time or joined later!

So glad that there is a boxed of XIII that is DRM-free as well. So pissed off how much of a mess it is to install. (nice thing though: Once you´ve managed it, you can backup the install without any problems IIRC and reuse it)

KnightW0lf: to fight some misconceptions
1. expansion is not part of alan wake universe it's a spin off and was part of the Xbox Live Arcade game
A spin off often takes place in the same "universe" same goes for the AW spinoff (I guess we are talking abou AN here?). Though it's not actually a continuation of AWs story it still takes place in the same world.

KnightW0lf: 3. as for extras i'm not sure since i don't own the gog version, steam version though comes with everything even the war music video, score, writings, pictures, and video demo & making
Poets of War musicvideo - checked
Alan Wake Files - checked
Making of - checked
Writer in the cabin videos - checked
Night Spring Episodes - Checked
Soundtrack - missing!

Remedy however issued another bunch of bonus materials later on with additional making of videos images and scripts. Those were part of a humble bundle they once offered. Along with the Soundtrack these are in fact available on Steam as well but not on GOG. Maybe GOG could talk to remedy and add those as well?

Sounds good. So you are saying the German release of XIII is DRM-free and still somewhere available?

Yup, that´s the case. I´ll search for the case and therefor the ISBN tomorrow.
100% instabought. Whether I'll actually muster up the courage to play is a different thing (not one for scares anymore...)

But how long was this in limbo?

thanks for clarifying and also adambiser thanks
Hey ya'll,

I had a code for Alan Wake I got when I bought my first Xbox 360. Never entered the code...Then I got the game through a bundle, never entered that Steam key either.

Third time's the charm isn't it ?

And getting both Alan Wake and American Nightmare for a grand total of 3.98€ is a really neat thing.

Hope everyone's going to have a great time with these games. I know I never was interested before but it might be the right time.
One of the best games I've played this year.
high rated
I'd love to see Remedy Entertainment's Max Payne 1+2, Quantum Break, Control and Death Rally make it here someday.

It was pulled in mid-May 2017, so not quite a year and a half.
Cool. Didn't think we would see that one coming back.
