Welcome back to Bright Falls.

After a prolonged leave of absence in order to pursue his music rights, spooked book writer Alan Wake is now back on sale in all his original glory!

To celebrate, turn your flashlights skywards and then grab Alan Wake 80% off until November 1st, 4pm UTC.

Additionally, American Nightmare, the game's acclaimed spinoff, just got a permanent price drop and is also 80% off on top of that, so the time to complete the series is now.

great news I picked these up before they were removed but haven't played yet

ChrisGamer300: Oh shit i forgot that, maybe they can push them a bit though.

Still it's puzzling that Firaxis releases a bunch here and still no Max Payne games despite their age.
Rockstar is not a publisher here yet.
Despite owning Alan Wake (on GOG of course) but having mixed feeling about this game, it being back on sale with original music is an awesome news!

ChrisGamer300: 2K is owned by Take Two and we have 2K games here such as Xcom, Civilization among others.
I didn't know 2K were owned by Take-Two. But even so thats Randy and Duke got removed....

So i'd still say Max Payne is still something they will treat as Duke. (Feel free to prove me wrong Randy, release Max Payne here!)

That must be the reason yes, i hate Rockstar and ofc they will not release anything drm free anytime soon.

I'm still stuck in the past when Remedy developed the Max Payne games.

MarkoH01: One of my favorite games ever (...)
^This. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the story very good, not to mention the various movie/literature references. Can't recommend it enough, especially at this price.

The panting that he does though.

You're being chased by some dark creatures do you do a Alan Wake and run for like 30 seconds before getting very winded or run like your life depends on it?
I already have the games but welcome back, Alan!

Poets of the Fall - War (Official Video)

Alan Wake's American Nightmare OST: Old Gods Of Asgard - Balance Slays The Demon

btw: Where is Alan Wake 2? I want to know how the story continuous!

He is an author - not a runner ;)

Remedy has said that they want to make a new Alan Wake game, but Microsoft bought them, and they don't want them to.

And i'm not expecting him to run a marathon. But your being chased like he does, and your prob going go move like a sprinter.

GOG_Solostran: We're looking into it, there's some issues with cache, page will be accessible in couple of minutes.

As for music - Remedy managed to sort out licensing issues and it's same good Alan Wake as before removal.
This is wonderful news.

This is bad news. :(
Do you have a link to the source? I'd be interested to read more about the motives.

Maybe it is part of his health problems he may or may not have. Maybe all the panting is just an illusion and nothing is real? Oh, I so like sthe story of this game even though (or maybe because) I never was able to figure it out completely.

Question: is there a soundtrack of the game available anywhere containing the actual songs in the game? (I don't mean the score).

I do remember that I've read an official statement and as finkleroy said, the problem is the licensing. Remedy does not own AW. However a quick search did not lead to the statement I was looking for. Will deliver as soon as I find it.
