Elmofongo: I am someone disturbed that Shepard can easily talk his way out of a fight. Like one group just left and say, "Yeah its not worth it, see ya."
Yup, not really for the fact itself rather than the way it plays.
I would understand if you could avoid an encounter saying something like "[INT] people, we are in a space station... and shooting in a spacestation can easily end with us being sucked in the void ouside", yet most of the times it is just "[Paragon] chill out guys, beating people is bad"/easy reputation check/ "ok".
Also, the coloured choices are always the most effective, pushing you to be either a saint or a bully to open more paragon/renegade dialogue lines later.

Am I the most hated person on GOG now?

I got low rated. Every thread I create is met with backlash. What I am doing wrong? If its the title GOG seriously needs to offer the option to change a title :P

You create threads that parts of our classy community don't like. Reason enough to get downvoted on "Bigger. Fresher. Newer." GOG.com -.-

People who can't appreciate graphics in games :P

I still haven't bought or played Mass Effect. I have too much backlog and I keep hoping it might eventually end up here. :)

But I wouldn't buy it for the graphics, I'd buy it because I want to see the story. To me, really atrocious graphics can kill a mediocre game, but not an otherwise-good game. Great graphics can improve a good game, but they won't save a bad one.

I have been bombarded by the same posts of people saying the same damn thing, "Only Gameplay Matters" its become snobbery.

People appreciate Cinematography/Editing in movies and Animation in Cartoons, but mention graphics and no one really appreciates it that much.

Why is it like this in gaming where people barely appreciates the graphical quality of games? Unless of course its 8-bit and 16-bit games and we have people who appreciates Retro Sprite games.

Elmofongo: Good grief I applaud the graphics and presentation as a reason for purchasing this game proclaiming it to bet the first true Next Gen experiance that the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC can offer and I am surrounded by in echo chamber of pretty much everyone saying I did not care for the graphics and presetation.

Admit it, we all bought Mass Effect because of the graphics
More like an echo about you are the only one ;)

Again I just wish GOG gives us the option to change the title of threads without contacting blues.

Well you missed the last Meeting of the True GOGolytes...and well...we voted that you be the new downvotee. That's what you get for not bringing the cookies to our meetings when you're asked to! This wouldn't be happening if you just would've brought the stinkin' cookies!

You care about getting low rated.

It certainly isn't hate (I can only speak for myself and all, but I highly doubt someone actually hates you for these threads), but you tend to make threads about something and automatically associating it with a general "we" and assuming everybody is on your boat. You also tend to generalize a lot and, most times, wrongly. For example, if I am not mistaken, long time ago, you made a thread about how cool a kickstarter (which, by the way, failed) about a splinter-cell multiplayer -ish game was. You assumed that we all were going to love it. When we said: "not really" you again assumed that everybody here is an oldie who hates multiplayer games.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about you posting this kind of stuff. But if you make threads about "admit we all...", there is a high chance you'll get a lot of negative responses. That doesn't imply you are hated tough.

I care that every thread I make is met with some backlash.

I feel that people misinterpreting the tone in my thread title.

If I was speaking with you guys in person we would all just have a funny chat about the graphics. I am not accusing you all that you did bought Mass Effect because of only the graphics. I just made it in a jest tone and to explain how Mass Effect 1 blew me away with its realistic human faces and other visuals (like this one scene where I talk to this guy standing behind a rotating core)

Perhaps in a forum/thread format people may talk my words differently. If this was in person mabye it might have been different.

You remind me of that failed Project Stealth kickstarter?

Man that still depresses me, but than I realize that man how slow can those devs can be with making this Project Stealth game a reality. Its been in development for years.

But than again so was Black Mesa.

And who knows the game might have ended up like that Takedown Red Sabre game.
