Hey Garrison72, I really appreciate you took the time to help me. I have just remembered that I have another account.

I am extremely disappointed in how unsecure the GOG service is. You guys are not a small indie team anymore. You are now up with BioWare, Blizzard and Valve. ACT LIKE IT! Even ORIGIN has better safeguards and customer support. Do you really want EA do have something better than you now that you are completely capable of making an even better service? I sent an e-mail 5 hours ago and I still haven't got a reasponse. I know you might be working on it but I want to know you have read the e-mail so I can rest easy. The service didn't even ask me if I wanted such a change. That is unacceptable.

I am from a poorer country (Romania) so when I give 50 dollars for a game it means I have complete confidence in the game and the company that made it. Please do not make me believe my confidence in your service was misguided or I will never buy a game through GOG again.

GOG did implement an email confirmation system yesterday to deal with the glaring hole in their security when it comes to changing your account email. They still need to stop resetting accounts to their original password when restoring stolen accounts and implement a real two-factor authentication system before I will have any confidence in GOG's security. As for waiting 5 hours for a response, what were you expecting? Standard response time for GOG is 2-3 business days, longer when site traffic is heavy like it is now during the sale. You might not hear anything from them until next week.
Come on, someone from GOG pls respond. Just say that you are looking into this. Don't act like we don't exist...

Have you read anyone's responses to you? GOG currently has support delays of up to a week, it's only been a day since you sent them a request. They have limited weekend staff, so you aren't likely to see any action before Monday, if not much later. You might be able to speed up the process if you direct message one of the staff. Firek seems to be the most helpful these days. Otherwise you need to be patient, GOG will take care of this and get your account back, it just may take some time.

As for Origin being better than Galaxy, a 4 year old client from a multibillion dollar company with a staff of hundreds (if not thousands) supporting it 24-7 is always going to be better than a month old beta client from a company with around a hundred employees, only a fraction of which work in support, mostly 5 days a week. You are expecting far too much from a tiny company like GOG.

There's only a handful of staff on weekends. They do need to invest in a proper weekend crew.

They still have yet to figure out how users are getting hacked. They'll need to implement one of those email or phone security measures at some point.

They are pretty good about fixing this, it just takes some time gog has what ten people dedicated to everything that isn't slinging code? Use this time to change all your passwords everywhere especially if you habitually used the same one or variations.
Ever since this incident I have. I have installed a 2 step protection on all of my remaining accounts.

They might have hacked your account, but so long you didnt had any store credits or similar with your account, they CA NOT steal anything of you.

If you didn´t delete your emails from gog (the purchase conformation) you can proof , you bought the game and they would restore access for you again.

And I take it that the whole account hijacked, but you're still logged in with a cookie has been somewhat fixed by now? I gather this is why I need to log back in every time I visit the site now?
