DD & Ji Ji: No offense , but i think you got the email about the removal request from the publisher a few days ago and not today .

Why didn't warn us earlier ? ( when the game was on sale )
Why the delisting threads are so well hidden in the general discussion forum instead of the front page or the news section ?
Most companies don't warn you at all. Glad GOG makes an effort.

SmollestLight: As for the threads, the majority requested the thread to be a sticky for better visibility to them.

Cadaver747: I suggest to have a QUESTION thread (yellow egg) for better visibility or STICKY (red-orange egg) but with DELISTING: Game name in thread name.

Question thread with Solved mark would also mark the end of Delisting.
Sticky thread with DELISTNG in capital lettets would certainly attract more GOG users, so far I nearly missed all of them.

Ordinary Sticky thread is not that visible. Try for yourself and see my point.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I got lucky this time, since I bought A Vampyre as soon as a found out it was released on GOG. If the de-listing is temporary, hopefully the content will remain intact when ownership changes hands.

The best Egg would be the Skull Egg here :D You can look at the beautiful Diablo 2 Skull Gem icon as an example ;)

While the idea is nice, unfortunately it isn't that easy to change colors or icons of things, as it's all hard-coded into the forum. But, we have some ideas to make delistings more visible and to clean up the sticky note section :)
Why not make a News entry for things about to be removed?

Probably because delisting is bad news and most companies don't want those on their homepage.
Here's the reason for the delisting btw, it became exclusive to another storefront

Looks like the de-listing could be permanent:

"We're happy to reveal A Vampyre Story is now an exclusive to Zoom-Platform!"

I didn't buy on gog since I was waiting for a better price, well, I now doubt that a better price will happen anytime soon.

It had been removed from Zoom, also. It's not like they pulled a fast one and pushed it out of GOG's and Steam's catalog.

Wow, how did Zoom swing that? Jordan Freeman's connections? Not enough sales on GOG and Steam?

My guess? Money :)

Much like how EGS offers a front up sum.

That's a shame as aside from exclusivity which I disagree with, also I brought Postal 3 from ZOOM a while back and still need to play with it but if you have Steam running whilst running it Steam detects it. So that makes me sceptical over ZOOM as it shouldn't call Steam at all.

Oh, it sounds like they didn't bother to remove all the calls. As long as it isn't opening Steam by itself it shouldn't be too much of a problem. There are games on GOG that will communicate with Steam IF Steam is running, but if you close Steam then it doesn't so I don't see a huge problem.

This exclusivity business sucks though. Pun not intended.

It didn't seem to but I like games to have calls removed as they are supposed to be DRM free so why are they still calling home? So it made me not want to buy anything else from them, as its no different to me than owning it on CD as I'll still have to fix it.

Edit: For Postal 3 I've added a non-calling thing to it.

Edit 2: Postal 3 from them was a waste as I own it on Steam and me patching it is the same as the Steam version.
