It means they're counting down to something. Or screwing with people. May Fool's Day!!

It's only 18 more hours until ANOTHER 10 years goes by with them releasing nothing?

I'm sorry, that was rude - I'm in a surly mood this morning I guess ;)

IT MEANS WE HAVE TO PAY FOR A MOD THAT USED TO BE FREE!!!
It's a countdown to another customer-screwing change to Steam.

I remember when this was mod finalized that the last two levels didn't make it to the HL2 engine. Did they change that?
Its likely to be the countdown until they release the final thing. As its steam though I wont be touching it with a barge-pole, lest I open a singularity into a world of rented nonsense and client drm without a crowbar to get the advertising off my back.
HL3 confirmed.
My guess is Xen.
THE VORTIGAUNTS ARE COMING!!!!!
It's the countdown to the release of paid version. Still no Xen.
probably some announcement about half life 3 in development or plans for it.

I doubt it, KoreaBeat is likely correct and Black Mesa will include the Xen levels, effectively making the Half-Life remake complete.
They also said it would become payware if they released it.
Based on my inside sources, they're going to announce that they've decided against developing new game content, and are going where the serious money is - in manufacture and sales of a real magnet gun.
