That's...that's an interesting way to think about things, I guess. :)
Hubris? "Our community is so fookin' swell that no one would choose to leave, so it must be death, dismemberment, kidnapping, institutionalization, coma... or worse."

Not saying that's what was going on in the darker regions of the OPs mind, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are subconscious social dynamics that lead some to think that the worst has happened to long-lost members.

Good to see you back. It is a bit disconcerting that a handful of people have such sway over the community, though, but that's irrelevant to you returning.

I find myself spending far less time here these days, myself, and only logging in to check the gaming deals thread, so I can relate to needing a break.

Stay safe and remember just because you stand up for yourself doesn't necessarily make you a troll, but if you stand up for yourself to the cool lunch table, you are forever labeled a troll. Doesn't matter, because the cool lunch table always ends up flunking history and begging to copy off your test.

Have fun and have some cheesecake, guaranteed to make you feel better unless you're lactose intolerant.

Not trying to be mean, just a word of advice: Bumping certain old threads I made or old threads about me can only lead to bad, bad things for the one who does it......t'would be best if you follow me back to the sheltered safety of the general forums.
