I hereby declare a totally bubbly thing of a giveaway contesting away up in the air!

There's a cauldron of suprises on my stand.

It's not a big handsome thingie, but an old worn mad granny type of an ironwork. There are to be prices. One of them will be a Sword at the stars or In there, the new one, you knows about it already, visitors of the holy Main Page. Also there be some classic game there. Maybe the Other Side keys. Who knows.

I'll make up the rules as I go along and give these games to whom I please, so there you have it.

The contest be about like this:

-Give a recipe for a soup dish. Don't just copy something from the internet, please. No need to get into too many details, just the ingredients, and how it tastes is enough. If there's something special to add, sure right on.

-Give a name of a game, where in upon you had the best time getting drunk. Perhaps have something to add other than just the name, feel free if so happens.

-Post a picture or a link of a dish, right outta the game. Only in-game stuff. The most delicious of them all.

That's that: Pick one or several - but I reserve the right to choose the winners as I please...

Date for the proclamation of the mad winning status thingie is probably late saturday, Europe time... Or later, somewhere during the midnight... or we'll see. Sunday morning the latest. Probably.

Alrighty yeah... I'll add some more prices later :)

Cheerio!

so the prices - ceremony in progress :)
...Sword of the Stars : Complete Collection - went to Yezemin !! - the in-game 'Cooking Mama' was too cute!
...Legend of Heroes : Trails in the Sky Chapter 1 - went to KasperHviid for several contributions
...keys for Giana Sisters 2D Remake(s) - went to babark for that classic picture & possibly to ZenWan...

It was a hard thing choosing the winners *phew* ... you were all great!!

Not a fan of soup, or alcoholic beverages, so a link to a picture of my favourite recipe in gaming, one that I'm not even sure had a fixed recipe (I usually just added basically everything and it somehow worked):

Don't you dare bully the soup stand again!
Here a recipe:

Ingredients:
Sweet potatoes
Chickpeas
Merguez

Normally I take the same amount of sweet potatoes and chickpeas. Amount of Merguez, well depends on how I am feeling that day ;-)
First cut the sweet potatoes and the Merguez into small pieces, then fry the sweet potato pieces and merguez pieces a bit together (5min). Add cayenne pepper for the last minute of frying. After that add water, salt and the chickpeas and let it cook for ~15mins. (I use canned chickpeas so the short cooking is enough, since that is a recipe for getting something good fast in the evenings after coming home from work)

btw. Not in :D
I am not entering, but I will do the first 2 tasks.

Recipe:
No ingredients.
Tastes rather empty, but isn't exactly fulfilling.

Getting drunk in game:
Ultima 7. Silver serpent venom. When you drink it, you get +5 to all stats, but when it wears off, you get -6. By drinking enough of this, you can get your stats to underflow. This gets you 30 in all stats except Strength, which is high enough to cause problems with negative max HP. One more dose, and when it wears off, all stats are 24.
(Also, check out speedruns of TES: Oblivion. One of the strategies is to duplicate a bunch of Skooma and play through the entire game with the character drunk for the (huge) Speed bonus.)

Thank you for the recipe :) ... I gotta try it and give an opinion!

Everything sounds wonderful except the non-participation :P

I'm just too single-minded person... When I'm cooking and playing, I forget everything else ;)

But seriously, you should drop by again. Without your soup I have to wrestle snow katt for bagels. And she's scary.

Also, I will probably post something regarding your tasks later when I have a little more time.

I'm not in, I don't know any recipes, but it's nice to see a new giveaway around. Not many of those lately.

Ingredients:
- One box Trader Joe's Creamy Corn and Roasted Pepper Soup
- One bag of Osem Soup Almonds

Recipe:
Uncork the box. Pour the soup into a large bowl. Heat in the microwave until boiling. Add lots of soup almonds. Eat. Delicious.

I don't remember many games where one gets drunk, but the one I'm playing right now definitely encourages it. It's The Witcher (Enhanced Edition). And if I were to say a bit more about the game, I'd say it can be easily summarised in one word: tedious (at least for me).

As for the most delicious foodstuff in the game. Here is a link. Second row, sixth from the left: Sugardoll. Yummy.

Yezemin: Without your soup I have to wrestle snow katt
Now, that's a recipe! Yezemin, snowkatt and mud. Or jell-o.
Game I had the most fun getting drunk in was World of Warcraft. Getting hammered had the side effect of viewing the enemies as lower level, and I think (though never bothered to verify it) that it actually changed your to-hit table accordingly). So when we raided as a guild, when everyone else was eating and drinking to replenish health and mana, this old rogue would pop a Brewfest Pony Keg and get smashed.
It did alsho have the shide effect of being unable to shpeak properly, sho it made whishpersh for addonsh a bit hard to type ...hic!
Another case of getting drunk:
In Wizardry 8, the non-learnable spell Booze (cast by alcoholic beverages when drunk) produces random effects on the user. Most are bad, but Superman (boosts all stats) is possible and it is the only way (to my knowledge) to get that effect outside of battle.

(Still not in.)
