11) Game rejections: Games do get rejected. A lot of them. GOG does provide feedback, though neither party is required to disclose it to third parties. Some partners also assume that they cannot actually disclose any of it, and that may be true for some of the feedback.
This is a tough one, for a few reasons: - you don't want just any crap showing up in the catalog, especially if it's buggy junk that will require more Support resources than it's worth, and also if titles might get pulled due to, say, asset grabs that could bump into copyright problems and get pulled from the catalog (not sure often that happens over at Steam, so maybe it's a non-issue)
- but making a DRM-free line in the titanium means you're already placing limits on what games will be considered in the first place. Not that I'm arguing against DRM-free. Far from it. Just that it does prevent some publishers from putting otherwise perfect gOg-esque titles in the catalog.
- so it might brush off publishers over the long haul, including those with good titles that gOg would accept.
I get it, I think. It is frustrating, though, when a "gOg rejected Title DFASKJGIEWPO!?!" thread pops up. Not that I know what half these games are, and not that my backlog isn't full-to-bursting already, but I hope those rejections don't cause publishers to stop trying to get their good games here. It's a fine line to walk: quality catalog versus expanding DRM-free.
Anyway, I hope you had a good time during your visit. Would be pretty cool to see some things there, such as how they work through the technical issues getting old games to work as well as possible on our new hardware and newer, multiple OSes.

I'm sorry to be the one who is not all that optimistic about your visit. The invitation is indead a positive sign, but if anything at all will change in the soon™ to come future is what I doubt. Why? Because of the decisions that lead us to the current situation.
Some remarks to your points:
1) That is always good, but it should also positively affect the number of employees so that we should see improvements in many ways (i.e. forum).
2) and 4) Seems there are different definitons of DRM free. Galaxy is, for me the opposite of DRM free, so I'm in doubt of their DRM free stance, because of developments like the always online Gwent "game". I hope someone asked them why there is no option to opt out of the "always default DRM Galaxy invested downloads". Make it "opt out" so that everyone has to actively change the settng, but no setting to this DRM invested sh*t is a nogo.
5) That is total bullshit. As a polish company they don't have to comply to other countries rules (except maybe the world poilice USA). As a possible customer from Germany, I'm offended by your (=GOG) censorship and oppose to it.
6) Funny that they said that. Why not just say "we want more games (and more money) and less trouble, so we just opted out of our core principle". That would honest and not so hypocritical.
7) LOL so no changes in the next 5 years. And yes, I'll happily bring this thread back up in 5 years and will be even happier if I was wrong, but I doubt that.
Just to be clear, this not criticism towards you JMich or your post or your visit. This is just my point of view towards the GOG officials and their decisions so far.

Thank you for the sharing.
Those information do increase my faith in GOG a little bit.
As long as they still provide true DRM-free non-bloated Galaxy-unbundled offline installers, I will keep buying games here.
At the same time, I will keep my 3 copies of doomsday backup of all my GOG games. :-P

Wow, that's a bit cynical. If it matters to you at all, during the 'ask GOG your questions' they took a lot of shit and some hard questions from us. Your choice whether you believe that or not.
