I wonder what gog has in mind to replace the twitch team... does any one know?

I don't visit GOG's twitch all that much, so why would the team need replacement? Or are you talking about GOG staff streaming on twitch instead of volunteer streamers?

I'm mostly confused that the long standing thread for the twitch team was removed from the general forum... I take that to mean gog must be replacing twitch with something else?

Ah, no idea then, though I don't recall the last time that thread was updated. You could contact one of the streamers and ask, though I'm not sure how much they can tell you either.
Moderator for the GOGCOM twitch team here. I was not aware of the removal of the thread, however that thread was horribly outdated. Even criminally so. Many streamers have joined and left since. Furthermore there was not much activity going on in the specific thread. So the removal of it is probably insignificant and just means doing some cleaning up. I'll go ask for a more official word on it. After all I have no clue why it was actually removed but probably due to reasons I described above. The team isn't going anywhere though!

Not even to Denny's? :)

I know it was discussed about trip offers being made and turned down. I don't anyone saying so but I probably missed their reasons for turning down the offer.

I'll scan the thread shortly.

kbnrylaec: One month after 6 community members came back from GOG HQ.

- all promo are buggy, no single one is 100% correct (I think they are more buggy than before)
- forum system become worse
- bug-fixing is really slow, or just ignored by GOG staff
- update flag for offline installer is worse than before
Two months after 6 community members came back from GOG HQ.
- many promo are still buggy (Well, this time it is not 100% buggy)
- forum system become even worse
- only 28~35% game updates have an official update flag [1]

We still have no option to set Classic installer by default, while 3rd party scripts have done it long time ago.

I think almost all of this is dependent on the new forum software, although I have to admit I'm disappointed to see no word on any progress on that front at this point.
Rejection is the biggest issue for me.

For example, a lot of high quality shmups have been rejected from GOG's side which is extremely disappointing to me.

Sometimes it just feels like GOG doesn't like certain genres.

I think it's less about GOG not liking them and more about GOG not thinking they will sell. I don't think any of the handful of shmups GOG does carry rank particularly highly in the best selling lists, and while that may not be a brilliant way to judge GOG will actually have the sales data for them and will know if it's worth selling them or not.

It is unfortunate for the fans, but certain genres just don't seem to sell well here and if they don't sell it's not worth the cost of hosting and supporting them for GOG.

And no new forum software. *sigh* I guess it was all some crazy dream...

That is not exactly true if you only count REAL updates and not changed installers. I checked this for one of your lists (I could search for the post where I listed those in detail if you like) and yes, still a few REAL update flags were missing but not the high number you listed. Many of the games in your list were Galaxy specific or Installer maintenance issues and I guess it would confuse people (and lead to unnecessary backups) if those would have been flagged as well.

I do agree with your other points though. I think it's safe to say that we 6 as well were hoping to see a bit more GOG reaction after our meeting there. So far nothing more happened than words and promises - unfortunately not much has changed yet and in fact - like you said - some things have even become worse and more people are leaving the GOG forum which imo is a sad thing to see. I was hoping that GOG did the talks with us to change things before more people are leaving community but it seems as if they are waiting and waiting (I don't know what they waiting for tbh). Not even the "classic installer default setting" was implemented yet even though they assured us that they are aware of the importance of this. Feedback from GOG here in the forum also has not improved a bit and we told them that saying nothing will always be a bad thing. They had all the information they needed to have to makes this a much better place- unfortunately so far they did not take their chance which is really sad and unfortunate for the whole community.

I agree with MarkoH01. I didn't expect that things would change immediately, but some little progress would be nice. Like the default setting for classic installers that was promised. It can't be that hard to implement it.

And maybe a new forum software to celebrate the 10th birthday of GOG. ;)

I'm hoping for a whole new site for the 10th anniversary, in September. Unlikely but it'd be a good time for the publicity.
