The game does look good and has good reviews which is why I bought it, at a very low price. I can't imagine buying this game at such a low price is going to make any sort of difference to the balance sheet of any group involved here but as I am always deeply sceptical of the integrity of charitable bodies and these kinds of campaigns anyway, I am not too worried.

Any government which tries to shutdown journalism and thus deprive its citizens of deciding what is right and what is wrong for themselves, is evil and certainly in recent years many western-aligned governments have been historically bad on this but the Putin government has been consistently much worse. The best thing you can say about Putin is that he is consistent.

Brainwashing is only possible with the suppression of free journalism. Hence why so many governments go down that path as it makes their own goals much easier.

I just bought This War of Mine. Great initiative by 11 bits studios and GOG.

All my solidarity to the people in Ukraine who have become victims of this barbaric invasion.

Bought and donated. A horrific invasion causing untold suffering just to appease a madman dictator's ambitions.

They've raised 160K $ in 24 hours, so something is working. I just wish it wasn't at 85% discount to make the contribution so small. Guess I'll have to contribute more in other avenues, directly.

And by the way, don't buy this from Steam - 30% will go to Valve, unlike with GOG. Though I don't know why that would be an issue with GOGgers who dislike Steam anyways.

This might actually working in favor of action. A lot of small donations > fewer slightly bigger ones. Arguably with full price less people would be willing to buy and total amount could be smaller. Current price basically everyone can afford + lots of people talks about this while about other games giving their profits but without discount is relatively quiet.

igrok: That's exactly the mentality of those Ukrainian nationalists that you are embracing. For you, it's not about ending the conflict and bringing peace, and it's not about civilians on both sides who have been suffering all this time. It's about making the other side suffer more.
I wasn't going to talk about it but: if that were the case I probably wouldn't have sent a shitload of food, diapers and basic medicine to the border yesterday, nor provided several boxes of clothing to refugees today nor organised shelter for them. Today I'm literally busy making room in my apartment so we could provide at least a room if need be. That's hardly gonna spill any blood, is it? As cheesy as it may sound, I pick sides based on compassion and acts of compassion bring me far more happiness than the suffering of "the other side" as you call it. And if the roles were reversed somehow I would be doing the same for Russians right now. Alas, it's the Ukrainians whose home has been turned into a battlefield and no amount of Putin's rhetoric that you're parroting is gonna change that. And I will call out people like you who are choosing to be on the side of death and destruction and even have the fucking audacity to make that clear as others are uniting to do their part in undoing the slightest bit of it.

Anyway, I hope also for your very own sake that this war is Putin's final mistake and an ever so slightly better man is going to take his place and pull a 180 on his policies which is actually a possibility, at least for a while. I may have little sympathy for soldiers who are turning cities into rubble but I would genuinely be happier if your sons and brothers wouldn't get sent to kill and die in a foreign land for the personal gain of a psychotic narcissistic tyrant in the first place.

And I'm honestly a bit ashamed for even mentioning what I'm currently doing for refugees. I hope it might at least inspire someone here so I can feel a bit less dirty about it.

WinterSnowfall: Name one other state in the world which supports breakaway regions and sends its military there to "ensure peace", please enlighten us... Note that I'm not a fan of American "diplomacy" of recent years either and perhaps they have done more wrong in the world than Putin's regime, but let's not whitewash wrongs or demonize anyone. At least the US is stupidly blatant about their wars and does not pretend they are not wars, regardless of legitimacy and the idiotic justifications they provide.
It doesn't need to be a breakaway state.
Look at what's happened over the past two years around the world and the attempts to silence discussion about it.Even on gog where the forum terms were broken by gog staff in order to do so.

My support for all the victims of this terrible war... NOT TO WAR!
Bought it. This certainly won't stop him in his ways of waging war on other countries, oppression of his own people, ongoing spiteful attempts to destabilize a whole continent, and his other dictator-ish activities. It's just my small contribution to what I trust to be a good cause in times like this. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not fan of the Mad Vlad and his regime, but the US is most responsible for this whole mess to begin with.
The description of the base content of each edition has me a bit confused.

Does This War of Mine + This War of Mine: Stories - Season Pass + This War of Mine: The Little Ones = This War of Mine: Complete Edition?

Yes. The Complete Edition contains:
-Base game
-The Little Ones DLC
-The three Story DLC (Fading Embers, Father's Promise and The Last Broadcast) that are included in the Season Pass.

Which is all the available content.

Thanks for the quick reply. The description of the base content could use some consistency across editions.
GOG's really stupid.

I have the base game (shows as owned on the game page).
I got the Season Pass + The Little Ones DLC + the Complete Edition (to gift) on one code.
It let me redeem the Season Pass, but refuses to let me redeem the other DLC, spouting some idiotic message that I need the base game to redeem that one.

*sigh*

Sir.Tomato: Could a moderator ban the Russian troll union spreading cheap putler propaganda on the forum pls. Not in the mood reading dilusional (or paid) diaria from brainwashed(or paid) people.

Thank you in advance.
I agree fully. I'm tired of debunking the same lies they keep spamming on social media and across every got damn message board on the planet.
