Hi there,
Like many people, I am completely at a loss about how to get Gabriel Knight 3 working on a modern computer (Windows 10). Flickering graphics, game locking up, crashing completely after a few seconds,
There seem to be a few explanations out there with various solutions (most involving the downloading of various patches, files and other stuff), but most veer into complex technical language that I don't understand.
I doubt I'm alone in saying it would be massively appreciated if someone can post a clearly-worded, idiot proof explanation as to what needs to be done to get GK3 working correctly on a Windows 10 machine:
- Step-by-step if possible, please!
- Explaining EXACTLY what needs to be downloaded (if anything), EXACTLY where to find it, and EXACTLY what to do with it once downloaded.
- For example, please don't just say 'add a dll file to the game directory' - explain precisely how to do so!
Any help with this would be fantastic, and I daresay loads and loads of people will be helped by it.
Cheers,
Toby
