When I start the game, my screen is black and I hear the music ( it starts playback somewhere in the middle of the track, but whatever. ). Pressing Esc gets me to see the game's menu, but it's in a tiny DOSBox Window that can't be maximized.

Any ideas how to fix that and play full screen (or at least enlarge the window) ?

I'm using 2 monitors, could that have something to do with it, or is tiny dosbox-window normal?

As a side note, I was excited when I saw the game finally arrive on gog. If it turns out it's just basically a version that comes with dosbox, I'll be a bit disappointed, cause I still have the original version and can run dosbox myself for free, instead of buying it here.

Try Alt + Enter once the game has loaded

B0SC0: Try Alt + Enter once the game has loaded
Hi, similar problem here - Alt+Enter solves the screen issue, but I lose the cursor in the bargain. It is onscreen, but does not respond to either touchpad or mouse.
If I Alt+Enter back to smallscreen, mouse works fine, but the screen is then somewhat too small for enjoyable play :)

Any advice?

EDIT: yeah, my bad. Turns out running the Dosbox, go to the Advanced Setting tab, set the resolution to 1360*768 (for my screen, I think it would depend on one's personal screen), check Keep aspect ratio and it works (plays videos, cursor works properly) without Alt+Enter - except it sometimes crashes when resolving turns while on fullscreen.

Hey freaks ;)
I figured out how to get the picture adjusted to my 1920x1080 (16:9) screen. (For my 4:3 notebook, the picture was nice and sharp with Dosbox's standard settings.) My settings for the dosbox_fg file are

fullresolution=1360x768
(this makes the picture smaller, so it becomes sharper, since FG is programmed for
a monitor with a low solution. You can leave it at your native screen solution if you want a
larger picture which is not that sharp.)

windowresolution=1024x768
(This is 4:3, it is the ratio FG was programmed for. Like this you do not experience a
bias in height-width-ratio.)

output=overlay
! mandatory for DOSbox to accept your above changes !

scaler=advinterp3x
(in my view this rendering option enhances the look of the units and so on, but it is
just a personal preference.)

IMPORTANT in any case, keep your screen's native RATIO in fullresolution (which is 16:9 for mine), and put in a 4:3 RATIO (like 1024x768 or 1280x960) in windowsolution . They have to somehow match, so you might have to experiment a bit: For my device, it was necessary to match the heights at 768. So it transfers a 4:3 game to a 16:9 screen.
