CymTyr: Eh?

Tyler62092: hahah, there was a spambot post and it made me angry to be in my topic.
Oh. It must have been deleted before I checked back in on the thread :)

yeah it was about an hour after I posted that, but I figured I would leave it as-is for your enjoyment and confusion.

It's appreciated. I was thoroughly enjoyed and confused. Wait, what?

hahaha I always enjoy being too lazy to do things... I'm too lazy to even explain this better. you get it, right? I didn't feel like editing my post because I'm lazyyy.

Anyway, so I enjoy not doing things, or doing them only averagely. And if you appreciate being enjoyed/confused by that, then great!

And I know the irony that I edited this post, I didn't like that the sentence format made 2 words move over to the left. It's annoying.

I've been wondering, are you a Bob Marley fan? "No woman no cry" and all that

I like Marley's love and redemption songs. The songs about the plight of the black man, not so much. I can appreciate the plight of the slave, after all some of my ancestors were Irish, the original "slaves" of the States. (Before black slaves became predominant in the South the aristocracy used indentured servants, and even maintained indentured servants up until the 19th century iirc) I just don't like the anti-white messages embedded in some of his songs, so I don't listen to him as much as I used to.

And no, I'm not some sort of "pro-white" dude. I just believe if things are going to be equal, no race is ahead of the rest. We need to squash the animosity and bigotry on all fronts, imo.

That's cool, I'd feel kind of awkward listening to music like that, but I get there might still be some kind of confusion over the fact that modern white people are not to blame for something that happened hundreds of years ago.

The whole thing is a really delicate subject, especially for someone white like us, which is kind of the problem. We can't really say anything bad about black american college fund associations or anything because we'll be accused of racism. Same with if we had a white american college fund association. Same with if we had a Men's Only workout gym, but women have their women-only gyms. I dunno, it sounds pretty bad I guess and can lead to some tension-filled discussions. I don't see why we should even use the word Race in this way though. We're all human, and I don't understand the meaning of the word race. It'd make more sense if there was a group of people with like 6 arms and 4 legs or something significant like that.

Bob Marley kind of bores me anyway, and it puts me off seeing young people listen to him because it's trendy pot-smoking culture.

So does clicking "reply" and then deleting the quotes still come up and tell you I've responded?
No, it doesn't. I don't care about race either, I think it's something that people invented.

Well at least we think a bit alike in that way :D

I tried talking to a few people about the word race, and decided against continuing because it wasn't going anywhere constructive.

Is there any kind of racial content in the Fallout series? Seems like the apocalypse is the breeding ground of refound hatred for others, though I'm sure that would be difficult to effictively show in a video game.

Not really from what I remember. There might be, but it's been a while since I've played through them. I think it was more about faction hatred than race.

yeah that's what it looks like. Kind of makes more sense I guess, I don't really know how people would act in the apocalypse. And I think Fallout is better by focusing on things like Slaver/Mutant factions rather than Color/Color factions.

That makes me remember Fawkes. He's a great character and really added a whole layer to my opinion of the Wasteland and the creatures in it.

Well the NPC Redhawk had an interesting and unique trait...
