Well i was trying to do a solo gun/sneak character that specializes in criticals but it didnt work. I got through the first mission solo, but the 2nd is harder and now i cant leave the mission to get more recruits. Should i try and grind it out or just restart the character?

Im playing a luck based pistol user that specializes in criticals and aimed shots. The only problem is i can barely hit anything. My perception is 6 and my agility 8, my luck is 10. Luck helps me avoid hits quite a bit but i cant hit things.

The only reason im using pistols is because i was going to make a smg/burst critical/sneak character but onehanded trait doesnt apply to that.

Can anyone give me advice on what i should do. This game is probably not soloable, that i know right now. But i dont know if i should restart my char. Any thoughts?
If i remember that level is pretty hard with low level recruits, but not impossible. You mite want to re-roll your character into a long range fighter with a good amount of perception and agility. And use rifles because pistols are pretty unreliable in tactics.

Oh well i wanted to make a close combat character that can sneak up on people with guns and blow them away up close. I watched the video and thought that if the smg can ambush people and blow them away in 1 shot, some of the powerful pistols can too. I was thinking of making my chances more realistic by using kamikaze trait which gives 25% bonus damage to all. Would that work as a aimed shot critical master with a team that has rifles and medic backing him?

I might sound weird but i like trying things that no one else does and are somewhat challenging. If i use rifles like everyone else, i am no different than them and it poses no challenge.

Yeah that could work. Be sure to have at least 1 medic and someone that has high pilot skill. My character (started new one) is a sniper and I have a few guys that have SMGs and my medics (2 of them) have shotguns. I usually break my team up into 2 small squads so I can wipe out the enemies on both sides of the map.

It's completely unintuitive, but the only SMG requiring only 1 hand is FN P90.
1-hand character can stay on top of things, but he realistically has to move to energy weapons at some point.
(later levels, it's either energy- or heavy weapons, or dying a lot)

It's a real uphill struggle you've got on your hands.
But the second mission should be doable at least, if the first was.

This was the camp one? You're told in the briefing to do a sneaky in-out?
Cause a distraction, snatch the target, get out. Blow up distillery?
I've done this a few times but always elected to just massacre everybody since it's way more fun..

Which way are you going? If you go along the right side of the map its a lot easier to ambush guards. Also you kind of messed up if you wanted to be sneaky, should of gone melee for quite kills when you get close to the target. Also why did you only put 6 points into perception?
