I just ask myself - do people still play Fallout and old style RPG even in this days ?
Do you play this kind of games and how often ? You play only old games or also the new ones ?

I play some old games from time to time because of high playability and fun - new games have just better graphic but "spirit" of old games somehow disapeared.

Yes.
Yes, I still play it if I happen to be sitting at my desk not being particularly busy.

Fallout is like Minesweeper to me.

:)
Strange question to be asking on these forums... or to any PC gaming demographic over the age of 25 for that matter.

This is one of the reasons PC gaming will always have untouchable qualities.
I definitely play the old Fallouts, there's nothing like it.
Welcome to gog.
Well, I've been playing it since 2000, so... I'm probably a bad example.
Haha i know strange question.I just wonder how many people still play Fallout 1-2 today - cos I want to get back to this great old games.Cant find many good games today - i can count them on fingers of my hand :D

Good to know guys :) keep playing
Yep!
On example from a old grumpy gamer (me Salzherz):
i bought
- witcher 3. tired after 35 minutes. what a bad combat system
- pillars of eternity. played for 6 hours. i hate the character classes, unfortunately.
- played all major PC releases. Always fall in the same trap: great graphis, boring gameplay.

So, as usual, every vacation i play Fallout 2 again.
And i play it (yes, im so dumb...) always with a nearly identical character.
Lone wolf, high int, high agi, high perception, small frame...sharpshooter.

AND I LOVE EVERY single minute.

Playing at this point in time BG2 EE. A shame i couldnt buy via GOG.

Conclusio: Play it, have FUN.

You could change it up and play Fallout 1 again. :)
Funny, I've replayed the game a few times and also always use the same/similar character. I love it so much with a high P, high I, high C, energy-weapon-wielding, moralistic vault-dweller. That's just who was picked! Though this last time I started playing I went female instead of male. I really should replay it one of these days as umm...suggestions? Evil I guess?

High ST, low IN, Super Sledge for the win? =)

I was away from PC games for a good 10 - 15 years of my life, only really getting back into it a couple years ago. I have a fairly large backlog to play through, including both of the classic Fallouts, the Jagged Alliance series and several other classics. Of course, I keep getting distracted (Baldur's Gate, Pillars of Eternity, the Gold Box games, etc.). But i will make it through the Fallouts. I have the character made, just need to quit being distracted by --

Excuse me. My Bear companion is eyeing my Ranger in Pillars again. Better go make sure he isn't being eaten. =)

Yup, I'm actually playing Fallout 1 right now for the first time. I'm only 22, and didn't have many video games as a kid, so I'm kind of playing catch up on a lot of old games. Fallout is one of the best I've played yet.

I also didn't really play games for the past 15 years or so. I know it says I've been a member since 2010, but I had just started to get back into video-games after college at that point, and then 6 months after I joined this site I met my (still now) partner and have been swept up in that the past 4+ years, and just in the past year or so have really gotten back into playing. I was fortunate enough to have played Fallout1+2 when they were released, but have tons and tons of other classics in my backlog to get to. This includes: Gothic (all of them), Thief (all of them), Jagged Alliance (all of them, though I only have the very first and need to get the others whenever I can), Hitman (the first 3, no interest in the newer ones), Lands of Lore (all of them), Krondor (all), Legacy of Kain (all, though I'm waiting until I can get Blood Omen to play that first.) I also need to play Vampire..Bloodlines and Vampire...Redemption, if they ever get Bloodlines here (crosses fingers with the hope that todays releases brings.)
