I am using the High Resolution pack and it is making Fallout very choppy. So I head that I need to rename ddraw. I heard that will also make the mouse better as well. But it just makes the colors all rainbowy. So what do I do?
Oh and for some reason my ddraw file has a bunch of weird text like this: îƒïƒùrˆýó¥üÿ$• n ŠF#шGŠFˆGŠFÁéˆGƒîƒï
Did you got into the games screen options and change the colours from 8 bit to 16bit?
That flixed the colors but my mouse is still messed up. When I move it slowly it will barley go. So it is hard to try and click something.

If you're using a Logitech mouse you could try the suggestion in this post :

This link will fix the issues with the colors. Seems to happen with lots of games that use directdraw when played on either Vista or Windows 7.
