Fallout 3? Should have been called 'FisherPrice MyFIrst Post-Apocalypse Game"
Fallout 3 was made for kiddies with no true experience of the Fallout Experience - as far as I'm concerned it wasn't a true fallout game, but a game which showcased various fallout elements.
Fallout 3 was as much of a fallout experience as lego star wars was a star wars experience.
It was fun, mind you, and quite interesting to play, but anyone who choses fallout 3 over fallout 2 is clearly prioritizing graphics engines and flashy textures over deep gameplay and involving narratives.
Which says a lot about them.

You're a waste of time
Don't judge the whole game after playing just 30 seconds. The tutorial isn't on par with the rest of the game, because it was added afterwards.

Fallout 3 is not even close to being as good as Fallout 1 &2. Fallout 3 isn't even on par with Oblivion as it is a MUCH shorter and shallower game. No guilds in Fallout 3 killed it for me. I did almost everything in that game in around 60 hours. That is a very short open ended game, plus the story was not very good in my opinion.
See I don't like Fallout 3 after 60 HOURS of play and you don't even give Fallout 1 a minute. That is crazy. Give it a chance.
WHAT!? No 3d graphics! Where's my gun!? I quit this game.
OP's thoughts: I read them.

60 HOURS?? Are you alright? should we see a doctor? How many fingers am I holding up? etc. etc.

JudasIscariot: 60 HOURS?? Are you alright? should we see a doctor? How many fingers am I holding up? etc. etc.

The first 20 hours were fun, but after that it started to go downhill. There is hardly anyone to talk to and get quests from. Most of the 60 hours was wandering aimlessly through the wasteland, which I didn't mind at first, but eventually there wasn't much to discover.
Fallout 1 & 2 FTW

Reading the op was an overall waste of my time.

Heh... Fallout 1&2 are gems of gaming that in their own way define what we see as computer RPG these days, however things look more grim by the years since gaming has been adapted and 'accepted' by popular culture instead of 'nerdy shit' as it was concidered before.
the results are clear.... scary games aren't scary... strategy games are shallow... RPG games are downright apalling firstperson shooters shallow as rain puddle.... the games thesedays are mediocre at best.... money talks and bullshit walks...
everything is getting downright raped co's everything runs on money and if you can market and sell it to bigger audience that means more copies sold and even more money.
So is it not enough that you 'downgrade' all modern games to mindless xbox kids who are only after 'gamerscore' and achievment hunting.
no ofcourse it's not enough...
they also rape the old classics such as fallout, old memorable title means a healthy flock of nerdy old-school gamers who are still potential suck... er. customers...
curse you bethesda.... you did the same thing even to your beloved elder's scrolls games...
oblivion was just a shadow compared to daggerfall.. or even to morrowind.

yours truly
JJK the nerdy fallout fan
I think you just won...
Thank You
This "review" is too dumb and moronic to be real. I think he's just a sad little troll.

Well, im a gamer in my early 20's and i found that fallout 3 was waaaayyy better than the previous two. There is a superior combat interface (i mean just aim and shoot and vats), better level up system and people don't block your way. People who say 'Yeah, but the first two were made in the nineties and they didnt have this..' should just keep playing their PC's with Windows 95 so they would stay away from new and better technology. Bethesda kept most of the fanboys happy, but everyone who said, 'This is just Oblivion' hated on Fallout 3.
PS. people who call 60 hours 'short' are losers. Sorry for the rant, but it had to be heard!
