Does anyone have any idea where I could buy the original spiral bound Fallout 1 manual? I know the pdf file is included with my d/l here, and that's fine. But I'm 'old school' (you know, like the game itself) and I'd like to actually hold it in my hands to read and learn the game. Also, I have a bad neck and reading 120+ pages on the screen is not really good for me... I tried eBay and can't find it. If anyone here is done with the game or knows everything so incredibly 'backwards and forwards' that they could part with their printed manual, let me know. I realize, I'm asking a lot from some of you older (like me) gamers who still might have your original manual kicking around... you might not want to part with it. Well, if there's a private e-mail function here (I just joined today - I don't know), let me know what you might want for it.
I'll pay. Within reason, of course. I don't need the game disc itself - just that big old spiral bound manual. Well, thanks for any replies...

You could take the PDF to Staples and have them print and bind it for you; then you could hold it all you liked.
I have printed out several manuals for things I own and I punch them and put them into a binder. If you want it really durable, you can put the pages into protective sleeves.

Thanks for the advice, though I think Staples charges something really outrageous for things like this. I might just end up printing the whole thing out myself (like you suggested) if no one wants to part with theirs... Thanks again.
If you have the option, maybe you can print at the library for a fraction of the cost or if you know a student who could print it for free for you at their school. Hope you get what you need.
years ago I saw someone print off a book at least two inches thick from kinkos, said they only spent ~$150.

Exactly... Outrageous.
Plain paper printing costs are crazy - I just ask my boss and do it at the office. A ream of paper costs £3 approx and contains 500 pages, I was quoted £280 to print 751 pages at staples :o
I used our serviced copier which is charged per page and paid £7 for the privilege! Use commercial printers at your peril

Thanks a lot! But, I already printed out the pdf file (just couldn't wait). Wasn't too bad just doing it in small parts (leaving out the full page graphic pics). Appreciate your help, though.
The Fallout Manuals 1+2 are perhaps some of the best game manuals ever conceived in terms of entertainment value, they are well worth picking up original if you can find them.
I found a spiral bound Fallout 2 manual on ebay a while back, cost more to ship it here from the states than it did to buy, but it's great having it. I couldn't face 150+ pages of PDF.
I'm a bit old school, and miss the days of big bulky cardboard PC games boxes, with full A5 size paper manuals.
Problem you are finding now, is prices of original Fallout games generally are going up, unless you find a clueless seller who lists it very badly so the masses won't find it, which is also getting rarer.

Sounds similar to PS: Torment.
