Using the high resolution patch, Is it possible to increase the size of the dialog box?

I'm using a 1440x900 monitor and set the resolution to 1280x800. It's a bit of a strain to read NPC dialog. I'd like to make it bigger. I looked in the f1_res ini file, but don't know what values to change. Some other changes I made resulted in having to replace my modded file with a copy of the original. I'm hoping to avoid all that this time round.

So is it possible to increase the size of the dialog box, and if so, whats are the max values that can be used?
