Hi everybody, I have just bought Fallout 1 and 2 on GOG, however it appears that the size of Fallout 1 is only 483MB when downloaded while it appears that it should be 506MB on the website. As for Fallout 2 the size of the file is the same as shown on GOG. My question is, as there is a different of size with Fallout 1, could it be possible that the file is altered in any ways? Is the size of Fallout 1 483MB for everyone? Thank you for replying and sorry if this question appears somewhat stupid to some.

I'll check on this, but I think your first course of action is to see if the file is all it claims to be. There's a self-check which takes place in every GOG download.
If you're especially concerned, do a quick virus scan. If not, feel free to start the install and see if the self-check comes back clean, indicating the file is confident in its Fallout-ness.

My "setup_fallout" is 483 MB and it verified/installed just fine.

Hi, I have installed Fallout etc and it seems to work just fine. So it seems that this different of size does not affect anything actually and that other users also have this size, while it appears different on the game's page....I am glad to know it is not because of possible download error or something. Thanks guys for replying. Great games by the way! Hope to see more classics soon like Star Wars KOTOR or Grim Fandango =)
