Today I discovered that there are a censored and an uncensored version of Fallout. According to forums messages the censored version is without children but I met two kids in Shady Sands. So, does this mean that I have the uncensored version?

Thats weird. I downloaded the gog version earlier, read that a kid was supposed to have a BB gun in shady sands, but there were no kids in my game. So I came to the forums to find out what patches I need to fix the game up, and now I'm just confused x_x

Its amusing to see how many supposed gamers have taken this stance, at least before the game came out. Now that it is out and people see it just a twin stick shooter and no more violent or gory than others no one is saying anything.

When people get emotional all logic goes out the window.

you can be a kid with a bb gun in fallout 3 why not 1! you daddy gives you a bb gun when you are 10 or something and you shoot RAD scorpions! censoring is wrong!

DEATH to censorites! if it partains to ripping out what a game was originally when it came out. they should leave game content alone and butt the fuck out and only fix the mechanical side for use in modern computers, not change content based on "pop" trends! and PC crowders!

There is 3 GOG versions (offline ones) for old Fallout's.
Classic Win and Mac. Pre-latest builds (maybe more oldest?). By Interplay. Seems no censorship. US version, right?

Current builds labeled as Classic. Win. Mac in library still old. So it is only Win. Labeled as by Interplay - but is is from Bethesda. Some new tweaks\updates included. Censored.

Current on-store versions. Bethesda. Censored. Only Windows in library after purchase.

There is some magnet\torrent links but all dead. Not fact that proper versions (pre-latest or more oldest? no full history for such old builds, by community). So easiest way to get proper version by Interplay - download on torrents setup fallout exe - without build digits. 1.0.0.0 build. Problem is - no digital sign - downloading from magnet from some chinese sites - at own risk. Another problem - probably 1.0.0.0 have some missing content or mistakes. Unknown.

Another way - download Mac build on torrents (or from account if you have "Classic" on account). Extract game from Mac packages - it be similar to latest Interplay Win GOG build. There is newest - but starting from next ones it be from bethesda. Latest real uncensored Classic updated WIN\MAC simultaneously.


Again. Current Classic Win builds for Classic owners here are not Classic! Find previous\more oldest builds!

So, Bethesda has removed children from this version of the game, but has put them back in in the games they have developed.
