It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Whenever I hover over a button or go to click a button in fallout 2, 1 or any of the older games, my pointer slows down to the point of me having to flick my mouse around to get the pointer to move again.

Any help?

Hmmm, that is odd, I would definitely send a msg to support with your dxdiag attached.
All right, which operating system are you using? And what kind of mouse?

So much more helpful than I am! Phew, glad you're lurking!
I have the same issue in Fallout 1 classic.

It's unplayable. The mouse is so choppy and laggy.

W7 64 bit., my mouse is a logitech g500

Edit: Found a solution:
If it's a logitech mouse disable following setting: "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration"
