Right after giving the Glow holodisk to the guard and the location changes, the game crashed with the attached error message.
Renaming the files (as suggested in the FAQ) does not help.
Advice appreciated!
Windows 8, playing with FixT patch
Entering the bunker by killing the guards and lockpicking the door doesn't cause any problems, though!

The cause of an error of that sort is manyfold, but by far the most common is background processes or applications interfering with the game. To that end, you should shut down all processes and applications that are not absolutely necessary when playing games, especially things like antivirus, IMs etc. Also be sure you are launching the game as administrator.

Thank you for helping!

Unfortunately, shutting down every single process other than Fallout did not help. :c I've noticed that the guard acts like I have the holodisk in my inventory even if I actually don't and tries to open the door anyway, at which point the game crashes. Could this be a problem with FixT? Did anyone else have this issue?

It could be a problem with FixT, especially if you have any other mods installed. The problem is that FixT is a compilation of other mods, so you should absolutely NOT install other mods like SFall, Resolution patch etc.

I don't have any other mods installed and I could confirm it's a FixT bug - some other people with the patch have it as well. :c

In that case my suggestion would be to remove FixT completely, look at the web page (or wiki) and install, one by one, any of the components you require separately (SFall, Resolution etc.) That way you can hopefully narrow down where the problem lies.
Shoot, I'm getting this too. I'm also running fixt. Did you figure out what the problem/solution was?

Thanks!
The only solution that i found is to unistall fixt (if you have the steam version just verify the cache file, it is automatic), loading the savefile just before giving cabbott the holodisk with the vanilla game. He than open the door and you get xp for solving the mission, save and reinstall fixt. After that the game goes on normally, but i still have to finish this run, so i'm not sure that this trick won't show any bug later in the game.

Yeah I tried that and it didn't work, couldn't load the save. I'll try and install individual components, see if I can get it working.

EDIT: Found a fix, simply mouse over and examine the holodisk (you may have several) until you get a description (I think the brotherhood wanted this blah), then talk to him and it works fine!

Well spotted! Cheers. Is this a bug with Fixt?

P.
That solution doesn't work for me, game still crashes when his "open bunker door" script fires. :(
The FixT patch has since been updated to remove this bug.
Hi, i've encountered the exactly same problem with fallout Fixt 6.7.2 Full. After installing the newest Fixt 6.7.3 patch, I can confirm that the bug has been already solved and I can enter Brotherhood.
