Pretty self explanatory.
Do you prefer Fallout 1, 2 or 3?
Why?
Just curious. ;)
I prefer Fallout 3 on a shallow level because of the graphics, however the gameplay is nothing compared to 1 and 2.
Tactics.
Just kidding, Fallout 1 heavily modded.
but you did forget to mention Fallout Tactics, what's wrong with you!?

Didn't play the original ones for some time, so it's kinda difficult to compare, especially wether it is 1 or 2.
But certainly not 3, if i compare memories.
I've not played 3. The direction it went dropped it off the priorities.
Played 2 first, thought it was good fun. But #1 after getting it here on GOG, goes to #1.
Smaller, with the illusion of more focus. I found it easier to get into than the others.
Tactics was decent, but I just could not find myself spending enough time with it.
I prefer Falout 2, imo best from the series, F1 had many unsolved glitches and errors in gameplay and F3 is just "Oblivion with guns", more FPS than tactical RPG.
Fallout 2, i just loved those monty python eastereggs, i also liked the many improvements, but was a bit "dissapointed" about some minor lore related things i really enjoyed everything else though.
1: Fallout 2
2: Fallout 1
3: Fallout Tactics
4: Fallout 3
Fallout 2 doesnt just win the "best" of the fallout series for me... It is actually my favourite game of all time.
It has a few bugs, it`s a little quirky, but for replayability , for fun, for great stories and characters, its just wonderful.
Fallout 1 is excellent too,
Tactics is more intense and driven, less humour, more "business"
Fallout 3 is only last because it isnt really a Fallout game, it really is just a 1st person shooter grafted into the Fallout environment... BUT....
Its stunningly beautiful.
To don my sexism cap briefly -
Fallout 2 is the one I would marry..for life
Fallout 3 is the brief Holiday fling you have with the stunningly beautiful foreign lady you cant believe said "yes" when you ask for her hotel room number.
fallout 2 on first place
fallout 1 on second place
fallout tactics third
and thats all from fallout series I know about (no, failout is NOT fallout game).
lots of people say that F1 is best, but still i rather play F2 (there is no sulik in F1)
Fallout 1 Fallout 2 , Fallout 3 the Van Buren edition...
Since I only own Fallout 2; I say Fallout 2! :o)
I like all of them equally (yes, even 3!). They're all good at doing what they set out to do

But next morning you find yourself handcuffed to bed, wallet, car keys and anything else of value gone ;) :P

Or in a bathtub full of ice with a note saying call 911 9or the local equivalent of emergency services...)
Foblivionout 3 was incredibly boring. I'm only up till Megaton now, and the dialogue isn't anything near as interesting as FO1's (or even 2's). I know it's still early to judge, but first impressions should count. I'm still wondering how Sellout 3 got all that recognition, even with bribes and hype

Unless you like explosions or mindless ZOMG!-effects, it will only get worser; what a shame.
I prefer fallout 2, then comes 1 and tacticts.
