Hello, I'm new here. I'm also new to the PC gaming scene, so I have a question. Where would my save files for Fallout 1 and 2 be located? I don't see a file for them. I'm running Windows Vista, could that possibly move my save files? I don't see a save file for Fallout.

PotatoMaster: Hello!
Reinstalling windows. Need to back up saved games.
Cant find location of saved games for Fallout Tactics,
Help anyone?

Hi,
I never got around to install FT, but if If you're on Vista or Win 7 and the saves are not in the game folder in (Fallout Tactics\Core\user\save) try looking in
C:\users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\V irtual Store\Program Files\gog.com\Fallout Tactics
The AppData folder may be hidden by default. If so, go into folder options and tick the option for 'show hidden folders, drives and files'
If you're on a 64 bit OS replace Program Files by Program Files (x86) in the path above.
Edit:
Before reinstalling you should probably make sure what it is exactly you have to backup. It could be the whole 'user' folder. Just make sure you backup everyhting you need.
Helpful?

Mackie thank you for the tip. I've found the Fallout 1 save files, now I can't find Fallout 2 save files. I found the Fallout 1 save files located in the GoG file. Fallout 2 doesn't even offer a save file.
Never mind, I solved my problem. Thanks for the help though.

Just a quick word of advice since you're using Vista and may not know this, but make sure to install all GOG games into a different folder than Program Files. Due to the way Vista (and 7) handle that folder, many old games will not work. Make a different folder instead, I use c:/games/gog/<insert game here>
Also, I'm having trouble getting Falche to edit my saves. It won't save the changes. None of the amounts are crazy, so I'm a bit confused.
