Hello all.
I am having issues installing Fallout 1 on my laptop - I downloaded the install file 3 separate times (the last 2 times using the GOG downloader), and each time I am getting an error that says the files are corrupted. I have skilled the file integrity check, only to have the install stop at some point for the same reason (different files have been corrupted each time - for instance 'critter.dat' and various other files).
I downloaded the file on a different computer, it installed just fine. Unfortunately it was not my computer and I can't just use that one. Thinking it was an issue with the download at home, I copied the 'good' install file to an external drive and transferred it to my laptop, only to have the same thing happen (corrupt files).
What might be the problem with my laptop that is causing this? It is HP dv series laptop (about 3 years old) - Turion X2 64 processor, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP Pro.
Any help would be great.

If a known good installer has gone bad on your laptop I would check your antivirus first. Make sure that isn't corrupting some of the files as they are trying to install.
