I'm trying to download this game using the downloader (don't ask me to use Galaxy, I don't like it because you can't keep the exe for backup), but every time I try it the download happens almost instantly, resulting in an empty folder. That's it. No exe or anything resembling game files.

I know it's not a problem with the downloader because it's the newest version (3.6.0.0.) and it's currently downloading The Solus Project. If it were the downloader, then it wouldn't work, regardless of the game.

I can't help with the GOG Downloader, but just to clarify the matter with Galaxy. You can use it like steam and install the game through it and it won't give you the installer itself. There's also an option to download a backup installer by selecting backup&goodies, which then gives you the .exe file.

Even if it's a late reply, hopefully you found the issue with the Downloader. Just thought to clarify that so there won't be misunderstandings if someone happens to browse these.

There was some sort of glitch that worked itself out. Unfortunately, I don't know how, so I can't help anyone who might have a similar issue.

Thanks for the information regarding Galaxy. That makes it a lot more interesting to me. So long as I can have a backup, I have no problems with Galaxy. :)
