It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Casey73: I downloaded the patch and extracted it, but do I have to do something with the PAK folder? What folder should it be in? I'm still showing version 1.0, so I'm obviously doing something wrong. Thanks!
Put the .pak file in the game folder.

If you go to the folder where MotBW is located, you will see files there named data.000.pak and data.001.pak. Cut and paste/extract the file into that folder.
Thanks reminder, Namur, and flagyl!

You can find details on how to do a manual fix at http://www.snowbirdstudios.org/forum/index.php?threads/patch-notes-22-04.1499/page-4.

It's a manual process, but it also unpacks a new Updater, so hopefully this one works better than the others. I appreciate the speediness of their patch development, but a change log (and maybe an automatic updater that works) would be a very good thing, too.

Unpacking V 1.02, there is an updater file included, but I have no idea if it's different than the one that doesn't work or if it works itself.

I tried to unzip the 1.0.2 update into my Eador 2 folder, and some of the files were not able to be over-written. I then uninstalled Eador 2 (if you do this, you will be given the option to retain your save games) and then reinstalled it. After doing so and starting the game, I was informed that my current version was outdated by the in-game updater. After allowing the game to be updated to 1.0.1, I then got another automatic update request from the updater to ver 1.0.2.

No need to unistall, deleting the data.002.pak will revert the game to the original install and then it's just a matter of running the updater (twice as you pointed out).

Interesting, the auto-updater was hung for me the other day, but apparently that problem has been fixed.

Yes, although, like flagyl pointed out, re-writes/overwrites can be an issue still and have to be worked around.

I wish you had told me that ahead of time :).

I just figured it would be easier to start from a fresh page, but I am sure that most people won't have to uninstall first.

We're all kinda learning as we go, including the devs it seems ;)

Thanks to you and to Namur. I had it there but for some reason, it wasn't recognizing until I rebooted. Works like a charm now. I appreciate it!
