I initially bought this on EPIC but when I noticed that it was available on GOG and priced similarly I got the EPIC purchase refunded and bought it here instead. For the DRM-freedom!
However when I tried to launch the game it would crash every time. I tried both .exe's and the "Launch Dungeons3" .ink but they all crash. Either during the credits, during the brief loading or at the moment the main menu appears.

I just tried, as a last attempt, to launch it from galaxy and it loads and plays perfectly. How can this be? This game doesn't REQUIRE glaaxy to run does it? It looks like Galaxy doesn't do anything funny with the executable (no parametres) so I dont understand whats going on here.

Any suggestions? I really want to get this to play with steams in-house streaming. The EPIC version worked just fine. However the GOG version won't work until I find a way to launch the game from .exe.

As a general rule, you should provide more information about your system (hardware, OS, etc.) in order to get help.

Considering that the game runs fine if launched through Galaxy, I suspect that the crash could be due to a permissions related issue.
Have you installed the game in a restricted directory such as "Program Files"? Do you run the game's executable as administrator? Do you get any error message when the game crashes?

Anyway I suggest you to take a look at the crash dump file that the game should create in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Kalypso Media\Dungeons 3\logging: maybe you could find some useful information on the issue.
