I know it's rendered in 1990s DOS quality, but I really enjoy this game's soundtrack. I run a tabletop game - AD&D 2E, in fact - and I've been using music from other games in my sessions, most noteably Baldur's Gate, Castlevania (Symphony of the Night, and Lament of Innocence), and Tyranny (an absolutely amazing score).

Right now, my tabletop campaign is in the Forgotten Realms, but eventually, the Mists are going to claim my hapless players; indeed, they've already had a brush or two with the Mists, though they haven't known it (muahahahahaaaaa!!). And so, I'm looking for more music to suit that Fantasy/Gothic flavor, and I'm looking for suggestions. Is there anything out there similar to the dark, dramatic soundtrack of Strahd's Possession? The film score for "Bram Stoker's Dracula" would be an obvious choice, and easy enough to get, but that's all I can think of right now.

Any other ideas/suggestions/recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Woo, another DM who uses game music to set the mood for his tabletop games. :D Like you, I also love the gothic atmospheric music of Strahd's Possession, but the MIDI quality doesn't fare too well over long stretches of time.

If you can track down the soundtrack from Temple of Elemental Evil (2003), a lot of the music from that game also sounds suitably dark and unsettling, although perhaps not so much in a gothic fashion. You can sometimes also find suitable tracks from the most unlikely of games; for example, there's a couple of tracks from Max Payne that I think would be perfect for a Ravenloft game, since there's a segment in that game where Max infiltrates an old cathedral that's become the headquarters for a drug lord who's gone full Cthulhu-worshipper. Always keep your ears open! :D
