You guys BROKE Stone Prophet back in 2021, and it appears you BROKE IT AGAIN. I'm FURIOUS. I ran into several crash bugs, but the worst was a bug at the end of the game (screen shot included on the exact portion of the end sequence) after you pick up and Cast the Scroll of Return, the first video plays, but then when it reaches the little village kid and he smiles (I included a screen shot of the exact moment the game crashes), the game crashes and gives this error message: Attempt to load non-resource file: 71/6

This means that YOU GUYS FAIL to DOWNLOAD all the resource files WITH THIS GAME or the RESOURCE FILE IS CORRUPTED. Either that or DOSBOX FAILS to load the resource file.

IN ADDITION: You install the game with the WRONG configuration settings. The settings need to read as follows:

Basic Settings
Graphic Mode: (any will work)
Full Screen (it needs to be uncheccked for most computers)

Advanced Settings
KEEP ASPECT RATIO NEEDS TO BE CHECKED
SCALING ENGINE NEEDS TO BE NONE
DOUBLE BUFFERING NEEDS TO BE UNCHECKED
Windowed Resolution ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE A 4:3 RATIO - I SUGGEST 1280x960

THOSE NEED TO BE THE DEFAULTS.

I'm so furious.

I included a screen cap of when the game crashes.

If you're up for it, I'd contact support: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?game=1432906190&product=gog
They won't read your post here.

Sounds like things indeed broke, years ago, when that code file was fixed by someone, so the ending would play out.
Since then some people apparently found the Temple of Set having all doors prematurely opened, and with the scroll also not being there...
Seems like that fix broke a lot of things. :(

I feel partly responsible, since I notified support back then, and I think GOG used the new code file from then on. Maybe I shouldn't have.
I sure hope they have the previous copy still (although that one would have the broken ending I guess).

I'm doing both. At some point they will have to pay attention.

Worst case scenario I can look for my old CDs and make images or installs of them and use a generic DOS Box instead of GOG's. But it's frustrating as hell to get those to work.

Maybe I can download from archive.org - I mean I do own them. But GOG should have a WORKING DOS BOX instead of leaving something broken.
