Can I have any tips from people who have played this game more, or when it was new? I'm just at the beginning, but any small enemy kills my guys so easily. I barely have time to turn around, everything attacks so fast. and every time I die, that damn intro plays again. Can someone please help me so I can enjoy this game more? It's not that I've never played an old school game before or anything. But compared to, I don't know, Eye of the Beholder, this is so damn annoying.

EDIT: Don't bother replying to this anymore. I will never play this game again.

First off: Do not fight in block movement mode, fight only in free movement mode, because in block movement mode you can only attack at 90° angles, but the monsters can attack your party from any angle. That means, that they will attack you from angles, where you can't fight back.

You also don't have to click on your party member's hand icons to attack monsters. Just move the mouse cursor over a monster and left click repeatedly, once you get close enough and the cursor changes into a weapon. This cycles through your party member's attacks. Left clicking on a party member's hand becomes useful much later, when you have strong and fast weapons, that a character can use continuously. Then your strongest party member will be doing all the killing by itself.

Also: Creating strong starting characters helps. And save your game every now and then. ;-)
Also, check the "sensitivity" setting in the dosbox .conf file. Mine was set to 100 and setting it to 50 helped a lot. No more spinning around like a top when I try to turn left or right.
