This game came out, I was like 9. We got it. I played it, beat it eventually thru some bugs. Couldn't make the terror blade. Clicking the Terror Extract on the bowl did nothing. I've seen videos of it being done, people have made posts about having it across the decades. Not for me. Ever.

I've played this game at least a couple dozen times over the years. The original, got it on CD later packaged with all those other D&D games like Ravenloft, etc. Didn't work then either. I recall my older brother's playthroughs it never worked either. Years later, ran it using Dosbox and downloading it from abandonware sites. Nope.

I have this gog version now. Works great, lovely.

Nope, nothing. I've got the terror extract, I've got stone daggers. The terror extract will not click on that bowl. Watched a video of it being done again, compared the person's playthrough of the entire game to mine, generally. He went there at the end, I went there at the end. I've certainly been there earlier than that.

I would just love it if someone still around might have insight into this. Is there *any* weird thing that disables being able to use this stupid thing? Being apparently the only person on the internet who can't click on this bowl, for my whole life (I'm 39) is actually pretty aggravating if I think about it for very long.

It's been a very very long time since I played this game, but that's definitely weird that it doesn't seem to be working for you. You have the Terror Extract, so I assume you've done Notaku's quest for it, so just running through some possible scenarios:

1. According to the hint book, you must be standing next to the mixing bowl, so make sure you're close enough.

2. Click on the Terror Extract so you're holding it on the cursor, then click on the bowl. (I don't remember if this removes the Terror Extract from your cursor or not.)

3. Pick up a Stone Dagger (there's one next to the bowl that works, and it's the one I always use) so it's on the cursor, and then click on the bowl. That should create the Terror Blade. That's about all I can remember for how I made mine.

There's another (unspoken) prerequisite: the active character must be a preserver.

You kind of have to click the base of the bowl, not the top of the bowl. The sprite's location doesn't match the object's location.

Your active character does NOT need to be a preserver.

1. Do Notaku's quest.
2. Get the extract from the Defiler's body
3. Stand right next to the bowl.
4. Use extract on the bowl.
5. Use obsidian dagger on the bowl.
6. Profit!
