mrtnptrs: Nice that you've fixed the crash yourself. If you get a crash again (in-game) don't mind asking us for assistance! :)

Would really like to test that beta patch on my Windows 8.1 computer, but sadly I don't have DK2. :( Have to do it for now with the amazing free DKI. Or is someone feeling generous today and want to solve this problem for me? ;)

KiNgBrAdLeY7: That patch is already inclluded in GoG version of game. Running the desktop shortcut of the game (Which is the shortcut of DKII.DX.exe), is the one. If you go to settings > Graphics, it says: GOG HW PATCH!
Oh, if that patch is already included in the offical GOG version, I would really want DK2! Thank you for the background info. So, the same version of the patch (beta?) in your link is included in the latest GOG release?

Maybe it's not beta, but complete. I assume this by the fact, that if you manually download it from the above link, it's size is different from the identical patch dll already present in game's directory. (when you try to paste the downloaded dll manually, it asks for replacing the one already present and compares them)
