"Why is Retro Always Chiptunes?"
Music & Lyrics: Den Store Skalden

Why is "retro" always chiptunes? Why can't MIDI do the trick?
All these beepy "old school" sounds are starting soon to make me sick.
I am not adverse to chiptunes, even I can like the sid,
I just don't believe we need this stupid retro "nerd chic", kid.

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?

Those who aren't lowly posers, who were PRESENT in the day,
might just still remember tracks and demos that we used to play.
All the .XM's, .S3M's and .MOD's as well as nice and tidy .IT's.
And of course all good old MIDI's; those were way more f un than bits!

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?

Is there no one else around who loves the works of Bobby Prince,
he who made computers rock like no one else before or since?
Megadeth and Slayer, MIDI-fied in Duke and Doom and Rott.
Brandon's brand of Jazz is also rather groovy, is it not?

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?

Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
Shake it baby! You wanna dance?
