I have no idea how to install DukePlus. I have the HRP and the Polymost override working fine. But there is no drop down menu in eDuke32 for the mac so I don't have an option to choose dukeplus from there. Further more I can't run .exe files or .bat files so the instructions that come with DukePlus don't work.

I know a lot of mac user were able to get DukePlus to work so if anyone can chime in that would be great.

TO INSTALL AND PLAY:

Extract the contents of DUKEPLUS.RAR into a folder that contains an Atomic Edition copy of the file “DUKE3D.GRP”

Launch the included EDuke32. DO NOT click the Start button yet.

Select the Game tab and then select DukePlus from the gamedir menu.

Now click Start.

The next time you launch EDuke32, Duke Plus will already be selected.

To use the HRP with Duke Plus: Place “duke3d_hrp.zip” into a folder named “autoload” in your Eduke32 folder.

if that isn't available to you try editing the eduke32.cfg file in the duke directory
under [setup]
change the line to read: ModDir = "DukePlus"

Unfortunately I cannot run the EDuke32 included with the DukePlus rar because it is a .exe which won't open on Mac.

This is where I am getting stuck as there is no other way I know of to get Duke Plus onto Eduke
the second suggestion failed to work also?

extract the dukeplus.rar to the eduke folder then edit the eduke32.cfg file line under [setup] to read:
ModDir = "DukePlus"

Yes, It still does not recognize it.
last try from me then my knowledge has been expended:

extract the dukeplus.rar file in your duke dir and then start eduke with the following parameter: "-game_dir DukePlus"
Did anyone find the solution to the problem? I'm having the same issue.
don't know. never came back and said if it worked or not when changing the parameters to
eduke32 -game_dir DukePlus
How to do you start eduke32 on a mac with those paramaters? What do you edit?
i'm not a mac user so i must defer:

if it were me, i'd use apple script or automator to create a wrapper cause i'm to lazy to type in command lines manually in a terminal every time i want to launch something. My dos and linux days are long gone

Agreed. Running terminal each time we play duke would be a huge pain. Anyone else have any ideas on how to get dukeplus running on a Mac?
how do you normally launch eduke?

is there a shortcut or an applet that is used that can be edited?
