Hello everyone, I really love this as a concept and just bought Duke Nukem: Atomic edition. Unfortunately it doesn't get any further than the DOS startup screen and just closes without loading.

Can anyone help? I'm trying to run it on 64 bit Windows 7.

It's a third-party engine.

Download it, extract it to your hard drive, put the Duke3D files inside the folder with it and launch it.
Oh right. Trust Duke to demand its own emulator, lol.

I'm not sure how this is going to work, though, because the GOG version is merged with a copy of DOSbox...which kinda leads me to think that the link is faulty since DOSbox works fine on my computer.
Cool. That works! Thanks!!
You dont have to install doxbox - in the install options you can uncheck the box for it.
Also, if you install to a folder other than Program Files it will work out of the box.
set the compatibility mode options to run as an admin and the game will start normally after the UAC prompt.
