Sorry if this is already addressed in another topic (couldn't find a clear/recent answer to this).

Is Divine Divinity's music still not working right? I began playing DD several months ago and while absolutely I loved the few hours I played of it, I did notice the music problem (two tracks repeating on the overworld, none of the other music that's supposed to be playing). I'm one of those people who really appreciates in-game music a great deal, and feels it's very important for mood and atmosphere (especially in a game like this one), and I'd rather hold off on playing the game until it's working right.
So, I wanted to know: was there a recent patch that fixed this or is it still not working right?
Music is still broken in GoG release and I don't feel any hope it can be fixed in next few months/years. Use retail 3CD game release (it have much more bugfixes than GoG version and no problems with music/config/Software mode/Direct3D/Glide support).

There is a patch. The Steam version was updated yesterday, but there was an issue with the patch for the GOG version. Hopefully they will have time to get that sorted out today (they are stretched a little thin with the kickstarter stuff, etc). The retail anthology version has not been updated yet either.
high rated
Until GOG releases an official patch (don't know if one is planned), you can download the updated files (div.exe, DivDialogSystem.dll, OsirisDLL.dll) from Dropbox (1.3MB) and unzip them into the 'Divine Divinity' install folder.

Here is an alternate download, in a 7-Zip .7z archive (915KB).
If you don't have an archive manager installed that can handle the .7z format (7-Zip or other), simply rename the download with an .exe extension. It is a self extracting archive, but my ISP blocks executable files, so I had to rename it.

Kuroneko in the Larian forum provided another mirror: Google Drive.

You can click on each of the files to download them individually, or there is a button at the top of the page to download them as a zip file, or add to your own Dropbox account (if you have one).

Brilliant! Finally we are able to enjoy the game completely. 'The Four Seasons Singing' while entering the Farmlands made me truly aroused. No quest making, no orc killing - just hanging around with volume maxed out. Thanks, Raze; thanks, Larian! :)

Bravissimo!
I wasn't expecting a response like this. I've added the three files to the install and lo and behold the music is fixed at last! I can finally actually play this. Thank you and everyone at Larian very, very much.
Could someone please clarify for me, does this bug only affect the overworld of the main area? I ask because I'm definitely hearing way more than two tracks throughout the game as a whole, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything or not.

It varies a bit. One people just reported a couple specific music pieces missing. Before the patch if I left Aleroth the music didn't change, but if I saved in the farmlands, etc, and reloaded the proper music would play. Verdistis was fine, though, and the music changed properly upon entering the city and the Ducal inn tavern.

Thanks Raze.
is the music issue in the disc version? I still have mine and would like to replay the game, but I don't remember whether there was a music issue.

No. It was an issue introduced with digital versions. The newer anthology discs may need this fix.

I love you. I was so disapointed about the music glitch I could not bring myself to play the game like that.
I wonder why GoG hasn't released the patch provided by Raze as an official one yet. I guess there are still many people who don't look through the forum and they may have even not noticed it.

I wonder if they're even aware of this patch. Did Larian sent it to them?
