The game is clearly advertised as having the Limb from Limb expansion included in the package, but after installing and launching it, I am greeted with the unexpanded version of the game, which I can easily tell because of the title screen, only one singleplayer quest, and the relative lack of multiplayer options.
Strangely enough, a Limb from Limb readme file is present in the game's main directory. Also, some .ATD files that should only be present with the expansion are in the data folder. Perhaps the windie.exe file supplied in the installer is the wrong version.
I don't know how a slip-up like this could happen, but it will hopefully be fixed sooner or later.
eee, but I've bought this package (but using different account) and can tell that expansion is included. New areas, new quest. I don't know what goes wrong with yur version.

That's weird.
I decided to uninstall the game, re-download the installer, and re-install the game with the newly downloaded installer.
I also saw a Limb from Limb checkbox in the installation window, and made sure that was checked as I let it install.
After the installation was done, I fired it up, only to be greeted with unexpanded DBTS again.
I even used the installer on my much older XP SP3 machine, just to be greeted with the same result.
In desperation, I decided to copy the game data files from my Limb from Limb disc, and that got the expansion working without issue.
(So, why would I buy the game from GOG.com if I already have it? I wanted to see if GOG's offering had higher compatibility on modern systems, and also to find out if it would be ideal to direct people to this site to purchase a copy so that they could play multiplayer matches with me over Hamachi.)

lol, suprisingly enough I figured the same. I'm not sure about the compatibility with my old one for net games, or where it is in my boxes of stuff! so i figured I'd just grab another copy from here too! Hardly break the bank prices :)

I'm really not impress with this service. I was all excited bought 4 games right away and none of them are playable or include what they say they do(expansion). Word of mouth travels fast on the internet.
I don't have anything to add to the conversation, I'm just posting to say that everything works fine for me, I just installed it and Limb from Limb shows up properly and is playable.

We need to know what games you downloaded Robiee, and I just cannot see how it's G.O.G's problem otherwise every single downloader of DbtS would have complained.

Just to comment on the lack of Limb From Limb:
I mainly use the Vista Games thing for anything that isn't detected by XFire. And fortunately, GoG adds games to it as well (yay). However, when I accidentally unhid some of the links, I saw both the GoG DbtS (with Limb from Limb) and a SECOND DbtS (which was probably the retail version that Vista magically detected). I didn't test that, but I imagine that (if it ran) you would be playing the core game.
This might even apply to robbiee too. Don't launch the games from non-GoG shortcuts and the like unless you know what you are doing. GoG gives you plenty of shortcuts for a reason.
If you just have one instance of DBTS installed on your PC, and that's the GOG.com version, then shortcuts shouldn't be an issue.
The problem is that some files in the data folder are not being updated by the GOG.com installer. To make things even more confusing, the issue appears to be sporadic-some people have the problem, others don't.
I wonder if those people who had the installer work fine with LfL got a slightly different installer.
Well, I only even heard of DbtS a few days ago, so I doubt multiple installs is an issue :p. The installer I grabbed had no options, but I still think the problem is how people are launching it.. Programs like XFire (although, XFire itself doesn't detect it) give you faster ways to launch games. If it does the detection before the GoG installer creates the link, you might be running the older version (which would account for lack of expansion or incompatibilities).
As an example, try to run a DOS game with and without DOSBox. One will work, the other is likely to have problems. But, if you configure your .cfg file correctly, the two look identical from the shortcuts.

I bought kingpin, rekneck rampage, fallout 2, Die by the sword, MDK, Messiah....and out of all of those the most playable one is Fallout 2, the others are unplayable. This service is terrible. I know none of these we made to run on modern system but don't tell people it is. This is all just a giant rip-off. Most people like me HAVE these games already and just wanted a system so they would run again. That's why I bought them. Either put the effort into getting them to run RIGHT or don't sell them.
I purchased DBTS. Limb from Limb is working, and I have no issues at all with running on an XP system. I even got the 3d GLide graphics working with help from this forum.

What do you mean by unplayable? It's probably something on your end if you're having all this trouble.
Robbiee, I bought Kingpin, MAX, and Fallout and they all run perfectly on my LINUX system. If you can't get these games to run under Windows, there's something terribly wrong on your end.
Robbiee, you'll have to let us know what OS your running, and any weird hardware/software you may be running. The fact you are having problems with so many games without lots of complaints in the various game threads does tend to point to something going on at your end.
In my experience when we get long gaps between responses I tend to believe other problems already existed and that the person has no done a rebuild of the OS or something and they are now working. Hence him not coming back for over a month.
Unfortunately, in my experience, for every person who comes back to say 'I fixed it, and this is how I did it to help others' there are 99 who don't come back when they finally fix the problem. I am not saying this is what's happened with Robbiee, but I suspect it is.
