I'm hopelessly addicted. I like all the decision making I'm forced to deal with in D1. In d2 I always hit a wall of pure grinding to find a peice of armor I need. In d1 the loot feels more focused and decisions and progression are more meaningful.

Amen, and amen...;) Really nice release, GOG! Impressed, really--the updated version is playing wonderfully in my Win10x64, version 1903, build 18356 (Insider's build)! The wild thing is that at certain times I can actually *remember* playing the game when I bought it in '96! Very nice classic to own! My original copies vanished down my dog's gaping maw--or somewhere else, years ago! So this is nice--and priced right, too! I'll add my thanks to the rest of the thank-yous here!

I was assuming the title was angry sarcasm. "Thanks for the game that doesn't work 'straight out of the box'." :P

My strategy for any new software:

Do not buy and install it until at least 6 months have passed, so that you are not acting as other peoples' beta testers.

Not how this process works. Someone somewhere is going to have issues, no two ways around it.

It is definitely NOT sarcasm! I'm really thankful to GOG for bringing Diablo DRM Free to us!

EDIT: Actually, to me it pretty much worked out of the box. Didn't have to undergo tweaks or anything. Just install and play :)!
