A user here wrote the app, it works on both Deus Ex and Invisible War.

For Invisible War, start it up and set all options in game, then start a game and exit out. Now use the utility to set your resolution. Finally you'll need to right-click on user.ini located in My Documents\Deus Ex - Invisible War and select Properties in the contextual menu. At the bottom check the Read Only box then click OK.

Note that this isn't really necessary for Deus Ex (the original game). If you're playing that, on top of certain mods fixing widescreen support, you should be using Kentie's launcher, which has the same aspect ratio correction that this thing does.

Backup your "Engine.d2u" file before running this patch just in case. It must modify it as part of the process and at least it says it will not function without an original, unmodified copy of the file.

Where was this last year when I played through Deus Ex: IW again at a low 4:3 res on my 16:9 monitor?

Does this fix the issue that the stock game has where the game will minimize itself during load screens if one's monitor isn't set to the game's resolution?

If this really works, I'll retry the game. The small levels hurt immersion, the gameplay is too simple but the plot/story are decent enough and being a fan of the Texas voice actors (it is a primordial Borderlands 2 in that regard) makes it worthy IMHO.
