Hello everyone!

Mission 22 of the first Desperados takes place during a storm: each time a ligtning appears, the game suffers a severe slowdown for a few seconds (something like 1 FPS for 3 seconds).
Have any idea of how to solve the problem? I'm running the game in Windows 7-pro, 64bit.
If there is no way to avoid this, is it possible to "erase" the weather condition with some tweak? While it's true that the mission is not unplayable, I would gladly avoid to suffer this issue several times every minute.

Enebias: ... I would gladly avoid to suffer this issue several times every minute.
We were recently able to solve some lag issues by using Aqrit's DirectDraw Wrapper or Dxwnd. See here:

This actually fixes the lightning issues, but turns the menus into a total mess (see screenshot below).
I'll keep those two files until I finsish the mision, then I'll remove them!
Thanks for solving the problem! :)

I see, dumping them afterwards seems to be a good compromise, as the game has run well enough before this mission. Thanks for the feedback Enebias.
